Three-dimensional surveying of underground infrastructure
The SUB•RECON probes have been designed as autonomous, gyroscopic-based systems capable of rapidly determining the location of underground piping and conduit in three dimensions. Our patented software allows us to take the recorded data and produce precise plan/profile "as-built" drawings
instantly. The data is converted into two very common formats usable by SUB•RECON or the
client. Added benefits of our technology include determining depth of cover, inclination of pipe, bend radius and weld data.
Our units have the capability of mapping pipe of any material including: cast, steel, HDPE, concrete and
PVC. Also, the "In-Pipe" probes are able to survey all diameters
of piping from 90mm and up. The units can also handle a variety of pipe bend radii, depending on the pipe diameter being surveyed, and can map pipe of any length or depth.
In addition, our software contains a Quality Control report system that provides a guarantee of positional accuracy of the pipeline being surveyed. This is something that most other
pipeline mapping systems do not currently offer.
SUB•RECON’S technology outperforms all other pipe mapping systems available on the market, and does not fall prey to the usual limitations the others have such as depth, tethering,
accessibility, surface obstructions, length and electromagnetic interference.
